Instructions
11. Before starting this activity, cut leather thong or yarn into 6" (15 cm) pieces.
12. Help each child arrange sticks into a square shape as an adult holds the
sticks steady.
13. Encourage the child to take a piece of leather or yarn and tie the sticks
together in one corner of the frame (a simple knot will hold), then repeat on
the other three corners. Set the frame aside.
14. Cut clear contact paper so that it is 1" (2 cm) wider than the photo.
15. Peel the backing from the contact paper, revealing the sticky side.
16. Help the child place her photo face down in the center of the contact paper.
Make sure there is a margin at least 1/2 " (1 cm) around the photo.
17. Place a second piece of contact paper over the back of the photo. Encourage
the child to smooth out any bubbles.
18. Trim the raw edges of the contact paper, making sure to leave a 1/2 " (1 cm)
margin around the photo.
19. Punch holes around the edges of the photo.
10. Thread a needle with yarn. Help the child "sew" around the photo and the
frame, connecting the photo to the frame.
