Instructions

1. Grate the bars of soap using a cheese grater. If the children in your class are
older and developmentally ready, let them help with this step.
2. Add a little water to the grated soap to make a paste-like consistency.
3. Give each child a paper lunch bag. Demonstrate how to roll down the lunch
bags to form a nest.
4. The children add some shredded green paper to resemble grass.
5. Give each child a large handful of soapy paste.
6. Let each child pick out one of the plastic dinosaurs. Ask them to place their
dinosaur in the middle of the soap mixture and begin to form an egg shape
around it. When the children are through, the dinosaur should be hidden.
7. Allow the soap "egg" to dry for several hours or overnight.
8. Children place their egg in their nest to take home. Encourage them to bathe
with the "egg" soap until their "dinosaur" is born.
