durable nametags in different colors or cut in different shapes

marker

hole punch

string

hooks

Instructions

1. Have each child (and adult) choose a nametag. Write each child's (and
adult's) name on her nametag.
2. Punch two holes in each nametag and tie string through (to hang).
3. Hang easy-to-reach hooks in each center.
4. Walk around the room and introduce all of the classroom centers and
point out where the hooks in each center are located.
5. Explain to the children that they should hang their nametags on the
hooks when they play in different centers.
6. Begin free play with everyone using a nametag.
7. Model putting your own nametag on a hook as you move to different
centers.
