8" x 5" (20 cm x 12 cm) pieces of black construction paper

Scissors

Hole punch

Paper reinforcements

Yellow construction paper

Pipe cleaner

Glue stick

Instructions

1. Place items inside the pockets of a jewelry or shoe organizer. Depending on
the theme, fill the pockets with letters, colors, or numbers. Or, fill each
pocket with different items, such as pictures of transportation vehicles,
occupations, food, and so on.
2. Ask a child to "pocket pick." The child will reach his hand into a pocket and
pull out an item. Use this item to begin the game.
3. For example, if the child picks the color green, ask, "What is the color?"
Name a green food, a green animal, and so on.
