Instructions
1. Cut out doughnut shapes from construction paper in a variety of colors.
2. Have the children sit in a circle. Place the "doughnuts" in the center of the
circle.
3. Sing the following song to the tune of "Little Bunny Foo Foo":
Down around the corner
At the bakery shop,
There were (number of doughnuts) little doughnuts
With sugar on top.
Along came (child's name),
And he (or she) picked the (color) doughnut.
The child picks up the specified color doughnut.
And he (action) and he (action) and he (action) all the way home.
Specify an action, such as run or hop. The child does the action around the
circle and then returns to his place in the circle. For example, "And he ran
and he ran and he ran all the way home."
