Materials

White paper, 4" x 5" (10 cm x 13 cm) sheets

Fabric crayons

Square of fabric, 4' x 4' (1.25 m x 1.25 m) with edges hemmed

Instructions

What to do
1. Give each child a piece of paper.
2. Encourage the children to use fabric crayons to draw their favorite nutritious food.
3. Using a black fabric crayon, write the children's names and their food choices next to their pictures.
4. Follow the directions on the box of fabric crayons and iron the pictures randomly on the piece
of fabric.

Cooking: Throughout the year, attempt to cook all the food items drawn on the tablecloth.
Dramatic play: Use the tablecloth in the housekeeping area.
Home connection: Let children take turns taking the tablecloth home and share it with their
