Materials

scissorsmagazines with pictures of dogscardboardgluelaminator (optional)large box

Instructions

1. Ask each child to bring in matching dog pictures (from magazines or photos) or provide them with magazines in class to cut out pictures of dogs. Try to find two of each kind of dog.

2. Cut cardboard into squares big enough to fit the pictures.

3. Glue the dog pictures on the cardboard squares and laminate (if possible).

4. Collect the matching pictures from each child and place them in a box.

5. Use the cards to play a matching game.

6. Ask the children to each choose a picture from the box.

7. The children look at their picture and find the person holding the matching picture.

8. Whoever finds their partner first wins. Repeat the game.
