Instructions

1. Place a variety of beads in small bowls or cups so they don't roll around.
Provide pipe cleaners.
2. Encourage the children to pick two or three bead colors to string on a pipe
cleaner in an AB or ABC pattern. Older children can try more complex
patterns.
3. When the bracelet is long enough to go around the child's wrist, the child
can stop and twist the ends of the pipe cleaner together. It should be loose
enough that children can slide it over their hand to put it on.
4. Make sure the ends of the pipe cleaner are turned under so the children do
not get scratched or poked by the wire.
More to do Holidays: The children can exchange bracelets for Valentine's Day or a
Friendship Day activity.
More holidays: Use colors for specific holidays, such as red, white, and blue for
July 4th.
