Instructions

1. Place photos of children and pictures from magazines on a table. Also
provide scrapbook materials, such as stickers, glitter, and so on.
2. Give each child a glue stick or glue, scissors, and a small photo album.
3. Encourage the children to create their own "memory books."
4. A variation is for children to create a "Friends Counting Book" by putting a
photo of one child from the class on the first page, two children on the next
page, and so on.
More to do Music: Create a classroom songbook with the children. Ask them to cut out
pictures from magazines that remind them of a song (for example, a barn for
"Old MacDonald"). Put one song picture on each page then let the children
take turns choosing a song to sing.
