Instructions
1. Read a story about cows on the farm and how we get milk from the cow.
2. Say the following silly rhyme by Gelett Burgess with the children:
I never saw a purple cow,
I never hope to see one,
But I can tell you, anyhow,
I'd rather see than be one!
3. Provide pre-cut cow shapes and let children paint purple spots on them.
4. Explain that milk is a product from cows and that ice cream is made from
milk.
5. Make purple cow milkshakes with the children. Mix three scoops of vanilla
ice cream with purple soda in a large plastic cup. Add a straw and enjoy!
