Materials

Scissors

Cardboard egg cartons

Construction paper or cardboard

Newspaper

Yellow and green paint

Paint cups and brushes

Paper towel tubes or construction

paper rolled into a tube

Flower shapes cut from construction

paper or cardboard

Green construction paper

Glue

Stapler

Instructions

What to do
1. In advance, cut the egg cartons
apart, dividing them into individual
egg compartments or
holders. Cut flower shapes from
construction paper or cardboard.
2. Before the children arrive, cover
the work area with newspaper
and pour the paint into cups.
3. Invite the children to paint the
cardboard flowers and egg compartments yellow and the tubes green.
4. While the pieces are drying, have the children cut leaf shapes from construction paper.
5. When the pieces are dry, glue or staple the flower shape to the top of the tube. Glue or staple
the egg holder to the middle of the flower shape.
6. Attach leaf shapes to tube.
