Safety Note: Do not do this activity if any of the children have peanut allergies.
If anyone is allergic to peanuts, substitute a different food item, such as jelly or
jam in two different flavors.
1. Make two columns on a piece of chart paper. Write "Creamy Peanut Butter"
at the top of one column and write "Crunchy Peanut Butter" at the top of the
other column.
2. Discuss the possibilities on the chart and have the children talk about which
peanut butter they prefer.
3. Have both types of peanut butter available for tasting.
4. Place each child's name in the appropriate column.
5. Have the class count the total in each column and discuss the results.
