Candy or canning factory
Instructions
1. Contact a candy or canning factory in your area.
2. Take the children to the factory and enjoy the sights, sounds, smells, and activity. (My class went to a candy factory and saw chocolate being melted and mixed in huge kettles being stirred by large spoons. We smelled bottles of flavoring and guessed what was in them. We saw workers boxing up the candies and saw that everyone used hairnets, aprons, and rubber gloves for sanitary reasons. Best of all, we got to sample the candy!)
