Cooking Aprons

Materials

Inexpensive craft aprons for each child fabric paint paintbrushes fork and spoon stencils wooden fork and spoon for each child ribbons

Instructions

1. Give each child an apron. Explain that they are going to make their own aprons to wear when cooking.2. Encourage them to paint their aprons as desired. Ask them to decorate the pockets with fork and spoon stencils.3. Stencil each child's name on her apron, or write something cute like "Kiss the Cook."4. Let the children wear their aprons whenever they help prepare food in the classroom.
