Instructions

What to do
1. Use a hole punch to cut out a class supply of confetti from an assortment of construction
paper. Let the children help, if you wish.
2. Give each child a precut Christmas tree.
3. Encourage the children to use a paintbrush to spread glue on their trees in any design they
wish.
4. Have them sprinkle the confetti over the glue-covered areas. Shake off the excess.
5. Allow the trees to dry.
More to do
Field trip: Visit a Christmas tree farm where the children can pick out a class tree.
More art: Make the Christmas trees smaller and then hang as ornaments, punching a hole on the
top and looping a piece of string through it.
