Materials

Butcher paper

Pencil or marker

Paint in rainbow colors

Sink or bucket of clean water

Instructions

What to do
1. Beforehand, draw arcs on the butcher paper.
2. Invite the children to paint the colors of the rainbow with their handprints. Have them press
their hands into red paint and paint the first arc, taking turns.
3. When they finish, have them rinse their hands and begin again with the orange paint. Repeat
until all the colors of the rainbow are printed.
4. Let the rainbows dry and hang them to display.
