Color March by Susan Oldham Hill
See the colors march so proud!
Hear them say their names out loud!
Red on an apple, and on a stop sign;
Red tomatoes, all in a line.
See the colors march so proud!
Hear me say my name out loud: Red! Red! Red!
4. Repeat the rhyme, using the following two lines for the middle verses and
repeating the name of the color three times at the end:
Yellow on bananas, yellow in the sun;
Yellow on canaries, yellow is fun!
Blueberries, bluebirds flying high;
Big blue ocean and big blue sky!
Orange in an orange and in the morning
sky;
Orange in a carrot and sweet potato pie!
Purple in a violet and eggplant, too;
Purple in a plum and eggplant, it's true!

l Ask the children, one by one, to name the colors of one set of crayons. Can
the children match the crayons from one set to those in the other set?
