Instructions
1. Encourage the children to try to "beat the
timer" as they clean up the room or a
specific area.
2. Set the timer for a reasonable amount of
time for the work that needs done; two to
five minutes usually works.
3. Say, "Ready, set, go," and start the timer.
4. Help the children as they clean, reminding them to put things in their proper
places.
5. Sing the following song, if desired, to the tune of "Hurry, Hurry, Ring the
Firebell."
Hurry, hurry, beat the timer,
Hurry, hurry, beat the timer,
Hurry, hurry, beat the timer,
Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding!
