Materials

Small clear plastic cups Red, yellow and blue dye

Protected area (floor, tub, tabletop, etc.)

Instructions

1. Fill three cups with clear water.

2. Dye each with a different primary color.

3. Let the children experiment by pouring some of the colored water into the clear cups.

4. Encourage them to mix the colors and try to discover which two colors make orange, purple and green.
