Felt or real cloth ties (donated by parents)

Scissors

Squeeze paint

Glitter

Pompoms

Sequins

Yarn

Instructions

What to do
1. Cut pieces of felt into a tie shape or collect used ties.
2. Encourage the children to decorate the ties using squeeze paints, jewels, glitter, pompoms, and
sequins.
3. If using felt, fold over top and put a piece of yarn through to tie on.

Dramatic play: Set up a circus. Hang a parachute from the ceiling. Make cages out of boxes. Let
the children bring in "wild" animals to place in the cages.
