Instructions

1. Take the class outside and have children lie on the blankets. Encourage a discussion of theclouds. Ask how they look, how they might feel if touched.

2. Talk about the three main types of clouds. Explain that Cirrus clouds are white and featheryand are the highest clouds; Cumulus clouds are puffy and look like Cauliflower with a flatbottom; and Stratus clouds are low and look like wide gray blankets (drizzle or snow flurriesmay fall from them).
