Instructions

1. If there are two teachers working in the same classroom, one teacher should
leave the room and the other teacher whispers to the children, "Let's get
everything picked up and put away before (teacher's name) gets back to
surprise her!"
2. The thought that they will surprise their teacher is usually all it takes to get
young children motivated. They will work fast, but the teacher who leaves
should be sure the children are done before returning.
3. The teacher should walk back in, look surprised, and say, "Oh my goodness!
Who did all this work? I can't believe you all did this so fast! Thank you!"
4. The children are delighted to please, and cleanup is done!
