Instructions
1. On a nice day, set up your outdoor space with items you would
normally use inside. Move tables outdoors, set up pretend play areas
with dress-up clothing, blocks, and building toys, and so on. Bring
anything you can move!
2. Leave a few items indoors so that the children are not upset by the
change in routine. Let them spend a short time indoors and then
explain that they will be having an "Inside-Out Day."
3. Encourage the children to play with the items outdoors. Have a picnic
snack outside, too.
4. The children will delight in participating in activities that are
normally inside.
