laminator or clear contact paper

Instructions

1. Show the children two similar snacks, such as pretzel sticks and round
pretzels, plain crackers and cheese crackers, or large and small goldfish
crackers.
2. Transition to snack by asking each child tell something that is similar or
different about the items.
3. Serve the snacks and let them have a taste comparison.
4. Encourage them to use the two snacks to make a pattern on their napkin.
More to do Math: Encourage them to put the snacks on their napkins in pairs and count
by twos. If they have one left over, they have an odd number. If they have none
left over, they have an even number.
