Materials

3" yogurt lid with clear plastic center

cardboard or oak tag

pencil

scissors

old holiday cards

red or green construction paper

white glue

gold cord or yarn

glitter

Instructions

* Christmas Day is December 25th.
1. Wash clear plastic yogurt lids.
2. Draw a 2 3/4 " circle on cardboard or oak tag and cut it out to make a
pattern.

3. Help the children do the following steps to make their own ornaments.
4. Trace the circle on a holiday card, circling the image intended for the
center of the ornament.
5. Cut out the traced circle.
6. Cut out a 3 1/4 " circle from red or green construction paper.
7. Glue the holiday image to the center of the colored paper circle.
8. Glue the paper to the inside of a yogurt lid, so the image shows
through the plastic.
9. Glue glitter to the outside of the lid.
10. Glue gold cord or yarn to the back of the ornament to hang.
