1. Give each child a milk carton to decorate with glue and tissue paper,
construction paper, or wallpaper. If desired,
they also may glue a few collage materials
on their cartons, such as buttons or
pompoms.
2. When the children have finished
decorating their cartons, make a
slit on one top side of the
carton (adult only).
Make sure the slit is
wide enough so that
coins will slide through easily.
3. Children can use these as piggy
banks. Demonstrate how to put
coins into the slit and how to open
the carton to empty the piggy bank.
