Materials

black, yellow, and white construction paper (12" x 16")scissorsgluefluorescent paperlaminator (optional)toy cars

Instructions

1. In advance, make 10 road strips by cutting five large sheets of black construction paper in half horizontally. Cut out double yellow lines and short white lines from the yellow and white construction paper.

2. Glue yellow and/or white strips onto the black construction paper to make the lines on the road.

3. Using fluorescent paper, cut out the numerals 1 to 10.

4. Glue one numeral onto each road strip. Laminate, if possible, for longevity.

5. Encourage the children to place the same number of toy cars on the road strip as the fluorescent numeral indicates.

6. For extra fun in the block area, add miniature traffic signs.
