Materials

Large paper

Black marker

Instructions

1. Cut out rectangles from different colored construction paper. Or use white
paper and color the rectangles with markers.
2. Give each child a different color rectangle. Ask the children to identify the
color they have.
3. Then ask the children to look through old magazines to find something that is
the same color as their rectangle. When they find something that is their
color, help them cut it out.
4. Encourage them to glue the magazine picture and their rectangle on a piece
of paper.
5. Make a color book with the children. Staple all of the papers together and
make a cover for the book. Keep it in the Library area.
