Materials
6" long red pipe cleaner per candy cane
6" long white pipe cleaner per candy cane
12 red beads per candy cane
12 white beads per candy cane
Note: The hole in the beads should be large enough to thread the chenille stem
through.
Instructions
1. Encourage the children to twist the red and white pipe cleaners together at
one end. Twist two times.
2. Encourage the children to slide three red beads on the red pipe cleaner and
three white beads on the white pipe clearner.
3. Ask the children to twist the two pipe cleaners together once.
4. Repeat steps two and three, three more times.
5. Show the children how to bend the beaded "stick" so that it is in the shape
of a candy cane.
