Scissors or poking instrument (adult only)
Items with various discernible odors, such as cotton soaked in perfume, an orange peel, an onion, popcorn, and so on

Instructions
1. Poke small holes into the lids of juice cans (adult only).2. Place one item into each container and cover it with a perforated lid. Label the bottom of the can with a picture and the name of the item so the children can check their guess.3. Encourage the children to take turns choosing a can, smelling the item through the lid, and guessing what is inside.More to do:Ask the children to guess what they are having for lunch before they enter the lunchroom.
