Unruled index cards, 3" x 5" (8 cm x 14 cm)

Scissors

Thin markers

Glue

Variety of buttons, flat and lightweight

Pin backings (can be purchased in craft

stores)

Instructions

What to do
1. Give each child an index card and invite
the children to cut the cards into any
shape they want.
2. Have the children color their shapes
with thin markers.
3. Then encourage the children to glue
buttons all over their shapes.
4. Glue a pin backing on the back of each
of their shapes.
5. These pins make great gifts for Mother's
Day, Christmas, or Chanukah.
