Materials

two identical clear plastic containers, preferably with a wide mouth

buttons

ribbon

large stickers, optional

Instructions

1. Laminate a piece of poster board or card stock and cut out a rectangle for
each child.
2. Write each child's name on a rectangle with permanent ink. This can be done
before or after laminating them.
3. Use these cards as place cards at lunch and snack time.
4. This is a great way to mix up the children at lunch and snack time so they
can get to know all their classmates. It also serves as name recognition
practice.
5. At midyear, write the children's last names on the back of their card and put
them on the table with the last name facing up. This will help the children
recognize their last names.
