with the children:
Snowflakes and Cakes by MaryAnn F. Kohl
If all the snowflakes
Were cookies and cakes
Oh, what a snow it would be!
I'd go outside
With my mouth open wide (open mouth and stick out tongue)
Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah!
If all of the snowflakes
Were cookies and cakes
Oh, what a snow it would be!
6. Repeat the poem with the children, inviting them to imagine new
flavors for the snow.
Assessment
To assess the children's learning, consider the following:
l Can the children differentiate between the various seasons?
