Instructions

What to do
1. Give children the wallpaper samples and safety scissors.
2. Invite the children to cut out a worm or snake shape from the samples.
3. Show the children how to fold the snake accordion style, then unfold it so the snake has ridges.
4. The children can then glue on the googly eyes.
More to do
More art: Give children shoeboxes and art supplies, and invite them to create a home for their
snakes.
Music: Put on some music and invite the children to slither along like snakes.
Science: Invite a snake expert to bring in a snake and some skin that a snake has shed for the
children to touch.
Original poem
When you see a snake,
It will slither and slide.
Then under a rock
It may try to hide.
