Materials

Small Styrofoam balls, 1" to 1 1/2 " (2.5 cm to 3.75 cm)Large package of straight plastic straws

Instructions

1. Be sure the water table is clean and dry.

2. Place Styrofoam balls in the water table.

3. Give each child a straw.

4. Encourage the children to blow the balls around the table and bump other balls by blowing into the straws.More to doMore science: For a small group you can place large cookie sheets at the table. Give the children a couple of balls each, and have the children race the balls from one end of the cookie sheet to the other by blowing. Show the children how they can move more than one ball by moving their heads back and forth as they blow.
