Instructions

1. In the greenhouse center, give each child a Styrofoam ball. Encourage the
children to tear tissue paper into pieces and glue it to their Styrofoam ball to
make "flowers." Encourage creativity.
2. When the children finish, help them insert a straw into their Styrofoam balls.
3. Place all of the "flowers" into a vase for the class to enjoy.
4. If a special guest comes to the class, give him or her the bouquet of flowers
as a special thank you.
Math: Ask the children to count the flowers. Take one away, and ask how many
are left.
Science: Study the parts of a flower.
Writing: Help each child write a note to someone she wants to give her flower
to. Send the flower and note home with the child to give away.
