Instructions

1. Make meringues by whipping together egg whites, sugar, and cream of
tartar until fluffy. Form one six-inch round disc for each child on cookie
sheets.
2. Bake the meringues at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Give each child a disc. This is the
"launch pad" for the "rocket."
3. Give each child one cake cone and one sugar ice cream cone. Let each child
scoop one scoop of ice cream into the cake cone. This is the "fuel" for their
spaceship.
4. Give each child two marshmallows to press into the ice cream, flat side up.
These are the "rockets."
5. Show them how to make a base for their spaceships by putting honey on a
chocolate disc and sticking it to the marshmallows. Put another drop of
honey on top of the disc.
6. Ask the children to turn their creations upside down and place them
chocolate side down on the meringue. Encourage them to gently press the
cone down into the meringue so that it is steady, and then place the sugar
cone upside down on top of the cake cone.
7. Children can use frosting to decorate the outside of their rockets.
8. Have a spaceship party and enjoy your spaceship snacks!
