Instructions
1. Have the children think about bridges that they would like to build. What does the bridge connect?What does it cross over? Is it a walking bridge or a driving bridge? Who might go on it?2. Give the children construction paper to use as a background for their bridge scene.
3. Have them use magic markers to draw the scenery, such as grass, the sky, the ocean, sidewalks,parks, etc.
4. Invite the children to build their bridges by gluing popsicle sticks and toothpicks on theirscene.
5. After the glue is dry, suggest that the children draw people, cars, or animals crossing theirbridges.More to doBlocks: Encourage the children to make bridges with hollow blocks and unit blocks.
