Instructions

1. Ask the children to sit cross-legged on the ground opposite a partner.
2. One child holds a tennis ball, and the other child is the "windmill."
3. The "windmill" closes her eyes while the other child places the tennis ball on
the ground within reach of her.
4. With her eyes still closed, the windmill swings her arms around herself, low to
the ground.
5. Her partner then has to retrieve the tennis ball without being touched by the
windmill.
6. The game is over when the windmill touches the ball, the child picking up
the ball is touched, or when the child has picked up the ball successfully.
More to do
Alter the amount of windmills and ball collectors. Try one windmill with three
balls, or three windmills sitting with their backs together using six balls and
partners.
Music and Movement: Play music during the game and ask the windmills to
move in time to the beat.
