Materials

8 1/2 " x 11" newsprint or construction paper stapler marker stamp pads a variety of stamps (happy faces, animals, stars, and so on)

Instructions

1. Fold four pieces of 8 1/2 " x 11" paper in half and staple them together to make a 10-page book. Make one for each child. Help the children number the pages, or do it ahead of time depending on their level.

2. Tell the children that they will be making a book of 100 stamps. This is a nice activity to do on the 100th day of school.

3. Encourage the children to choose one type of stamp and stamp it 10 times on the first page of their books. They can choose a different stamp and stamp 10 on the second page, and so on.

4. The child is done when he has stamped 10 "pictures" on 10 pages. Encourage them to come up with a title for their books.

5. Help the children count by tens to 100.
