Instructions
1. Fasching is a German holiday that celebrates the coming of spring and the end
of winter. Traditionally, the village people have a parade and dress up in wild
outfits to scare away the evil spirits of winter and welcome the good spirits of
spring.
2. Have your own Fasching parade! Cut out masks from construction paper using
the pattern on the next page.
3. Encourage the children to decorate their masks with feathers, glitter, and other
materials.
4. Glue the mask to a Popsicle stick to make a handle.
5. Celebrate with confetti and a special snack.
