Instructions

1. Play this game when you have a few extra moments any time during the day.
2. Select an assortment of objects that have specific qualities. For example,
choose a river rock (smooth), an ice cube (cold), silly putty (squishy), an
aluminum foil ball (shiny), and an apple (red). Place them in a basket.
3. Give the children one object, for example, the river rock, and ask them to
pass it around. Say, "Can you name something else that is smooth?"
4. The children pass the object around the circle and name items that have the
same quality as the one they are holding.
5. A variation is to name objects in the room that have the same characteristics
as the one being passed around.
