Instructions
1. Read farm-related books with the children. Talk about the clothes that
farmers wear to protect themselves during the day and why these clothes
are needed for the jobs a farmer does.
2. Show the children farm clothes such as straw hats. Encourage them to try on
various farm clothes.
3. Talk about farm animals and how a farmer takes care of each. Use a play barn
and plastic animals and sing "Old MacDonald" with the children.
4. Encourage children to glue pre-cut pictures of farm animals to mural paper
taped to the wall.
