Instructions

* Daylight savings time ends on the last Sunday of October (starting in
2007, it will end on the first Sunday of November). October is also
National Clock Month.
1. Bring a clock to circle time on the Friday before daylight savings time
ends.
2. Discuss what daylight savings time is and use a wall clock to
demonstrate to the children.
3. Talk about the word backwards. Explain what it means and ask the group
to list things that can be done backwards.
4. Invite the children to do some of the things listed (such as walk, hop,
pretend to drive, scoot, say the alphabet, count, and so on).
More to do Celebrate by having a "Backwards Day." Do as many things as you can
backwards.
