Instructions
1. Pour a large bag of sand into a plastic bin.
2. Hide plastic animals in the sand.
3. Have several children take turns finding an animal. Encourage them to
feel the texture of the sand.
4. Sing the following song to the tune of "The Farmer in the Dell" as the
children look for the animals.
A-hunting we will go,
A-hunting we will go,
Heigh-ho, the derry-o,
A hunting we will go.
(Child's name) finds a cat.
(Child's name) finds a cat.
Heigh-ho, the derry-o.
A-hunting we will go.
(Continue singing verses as the children find the animals.)
