Materials

pictures of mother and baby animals

construction paper

scissors

glue

Instructions

1. Glue pictures of a variety of baby animals on one piece of paper and
matching mother animals on another piece of paper. Make copies of the
sheets, so that each child has one of each.
2. Ask the children to cut out all of the animals.
3. Invite them to match each mother animal to its baby, and glue the pairs onto
a piece of construction paper.
More to do Art: Explain to the children that every animal has a unique color and texture.
Talk about these characteristics and then ask the children to color in the animals
on their paper.
