Newspaper

smocks or art shirts

fingerpaint

paint tray

Instructions

1. Cover the table with newspaper and help the children put on smocks or art
shirts. Pour a small amount of paint into trays.
2. Show the children how to bend their fingers so they touch the inside of their
hands. Encourage them to dip the side of their hand (pinky side) into paint
and then press it onto the paper.
3. Then, encourage them to dip their finger in the paint and then press it over
their other print (these will be the toes). They have just made baby footprints!
