Children's artwork

Scissors

Copy machine

Index cards, 4" x 6" (10 cm x 15 cm)

Glue

Clear contact paper or laminating machine

Instructions

What to do
1. Choose six or eight pieces of the children's art. Choose more pieces for another artful memory
game, so all the children's work is represented.
2. Using a black and white copier (or for best results use a color copier), reproduce the images and
reduce or enlarge them to the size of the index cards. Make two copies of each drawing.
3. Cut out the pictures and glue them to the index cards.
4. Laminate the cards or cover them with clear contact paper to protect them.
5. Invite the children to play the Artful Memory Game. Place the cards face down on the table, in
rows. Turn the cards over two at a time and find the matching pairs. Deal younger children half
of the cards, then have them choose from the remainder of the deck in turn to find a match.
