pictures of different apple products or markers

chart paper

name card for each child

Instructions

1. Discuss various ways apples may be eaten, such as whole apples, sliced apples,
apple juice, apple pie, applesauce, apple muffins, and so on.
2. Create a chart titled, "Which do you like best?"
3. At the bottom of the chart, draw or cut out a picture of the different ways to
prepare and eat apples.
4. Have each child, in turn, come forward and vote to show his preference by
placing his name card next to his choice.
5. Discuss the chart with the children. What is the class favorite?
