Materials 

  • Tape recorder
  • Cassette tape
  • Pictures of animals

 

What to do

1. Make or purchase a tape with animal sounds.

2. Play the tape for the children.

3. Let them identify animals making the sounds.

4. Then let the children make the animal sounds for the tape as the teacher holds up a picture of each animal.

5. Encourage the children to make up a story about animals, adding in animal sounds when needed. Put it on tape.
